At ThriftyPets, we want you and your pets to be completely satisfied with your purchase.
This Refund and Returns Policy outlines your rights and our procedures under the Australian Consumer Law.


1. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of receiving it.
We will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the situation.
Proof of purchase (such as an order confirmation email) is required.


2. Change-of-Mind Returns

We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is unused, unopened, and in its original packaging.

  • You cover the cost of return shipping.

Once received and inspected, we’ll issue a refund (excluding original shipping fees).


3. How to Request a Return

To start a return, please email us at support@thriftypets.com.auwith:

  • Your order number,

  • The item(s) you wish to return, and

  • The reason for the return.

We’ll reply with return instructions and a delivery address.


4. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued using your original payment method (Square, PayPal, or credit card) within 5–10 business days after we receive the returned goods.


5. Exceptions

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., opened pet food or treats).

  • Gift cards, downloadable items, or personalized products.

  • Items returned without prior authorization.
